Harmonic Scalpels
The use of ultrasound in the development of harmonic scalpels is an effective means of controlling bleeding using lower temperatures than other coagulating devices. The method of action includes a current generator that is attached to a hand piece that contains a blade to cut tissue and the ultrasonic transducer. A hand-switching adapter makes it easy to activate the blade or the ultrasound tip.
Harmonic scalpels use the rapid vibrations of ultrasound to coagulate and seal off the vessels to control bleeding during the surgical procedure. The surgeon can control the cutting speed and coagulation rate easily, without the need for exchanging instruments. In procedures where soft tissue incisions are made, control of bleeding and minimal pressure on the tissue is necessary to reduce the trauma to the surrounding tissue.
Design Customized Harmonic Scalpels
The experienced technicians at IncisionTech work diligently to maintain the reputation of "Center of Excellence" in designing and manufacturing harmonic scalpels. Using the sharpest incisional components, IncisionTech manufactures harmonic scalpels for use in many surgical procedures, including ophthalmic and dental. Designers can share their ideas for component development, and the design team at IncisionTech will put their expertise to work on making their ideas become realities.
